Mayhaven, Washington “Power sings here but not always in tune.” Tucked into the misty evergreens east of Seattle, Mayhaven is the kind of town that looks innocent from the highway. A two-lane road leads you past hand-painted welcome signs, hanging flower baskets, and a sleepy downtown of quaint shops, vinyl stores, and rustic cafés. The air smells like pine needles, espresso, and rain-soaked secrets. Locals joke that Mayhaven is "where burned-out musicians go to dry out or disappear." But that’s only half the truth. Mayhaven is a haven, yes but mostly for the famous and the fragile. Some of the biggest names in pop, pop-punk, and metal have settled here. You won’t find them on the street in Beverly Hills, but you might catch them strumming quietly on the lakeshore, black hood pulled over platinum hair, trying to forget the spotlight ever found them. But fame isn’t the only thing being hidden.
